Not bad for renters but buyers beware

We're currently renting here and we're decently happy. There are definitely bad parts about living here but the good outweigh the bad for us.
The island itself is pretty nasty. This complex does stand out in comparison. These unit are large and spacious and the grounds are nice. On the downside, the floors and walls are THIN, and the caulking on the tub/showers is pretty shoddy.
Luckily we're paying less in rent than people we know living in other apartments (that are much smaller and older) in Campache Cove. We've rented all over the country though and I have to say this place could be worse, so because of that we are not that unhappy here. I can't imagine the desperation I would feel if I owned here though. Hopefully in a few years the market on the island will pick back up.

Thanks for validating the horror of having bought here. The noise is so bad, from the tile floors above to the kids bedroom next door. NORMAL noise from good people, walking and talking normally, have disturbed our peace & quiet (including our child) that we no longer even use it. With this unethical development company still selling these terribly flawed apts. to a few poor suckers, we feel angry and sad. We understand how people can fall in love with the very real beauty and good location, and the low prices that are still a significant amount of money and liability to invest. All we know is that someday we'll be able to sell it for a loss when the market revives, even though we no longer will spend even one day in it, and we learned a valuable lesson. Never sign a condo sales agreement unless the Seller agrees to let you spend at least a couple nights in one of his 'product'!!!! Buyers...beware. Renters...good luck with all the noise, and poor to nonexistent services after you've signed a contract.

"Renters...good luck with all the noise, and poor to nonexistent services after you've signed a contract." That statement sums it all up. Once you signed and your locked in they could care less what breaks. Buyer and Renters Beware. The old saying "Don't judge a book by its cover” heed it here you will be sorry if you move here.
