I've looked at several apartment complexes in Galveston and they're all a little pricey (esp. after the hurricane), but this one's definitely the best deal. I lived in building 4 from 2007-08 and then moved out of state for a while. When I came back, I didn't hesitate to move back in, this time with a roommate. We both love living here. We love our apartment (though the 2-br's could use a hall closet). The staff is always super friendly, professional, and helpful. The maintenance guys are really nice and, if you ever need them (we've only needed them for a few minor things), they're always there within a few hours. The whole complex is pretty quiet. The beach/Seawall is right there. You can always get free day passes to the Galveston Racquet Club and Fitness Center. They're great about pest control and our apartment is roach-free (which is REALLY rare in Galveston). The insulation is amazing. We left for a week in the middle of the summer and turned our A/C up to 90, but when we got home it was still 80 (where we normally keep it)!
