They ripped me off my rent money on CHRISTMAS

Old, moldy,,,expensive for what you get, infisted with bugs and roaches , and the staff is mean and uncooperative. Around christmas time of 2007, I put my rent (money order) in the rent box assuming that management will pick it up the next day with no problems, to my surprise, I get a fax at work the next day stating that I needed to pay rent, I remebered that I forgot to put my name on the money order, I only put the apartment number and made it payable to the apartments, it was also around christmas time like I mentioned before (when most people need money badly) ....imeadiately it clicked on my mind that some one from management could have possibly put their name as a purchaser and cashed the money order to their pocket..
I am convinced that this is exactly what happened. Managment was uncooperative and extremely rude with me as I was explaining my situation to them, they even charged me a late fee of $25, One of the management staff -w/out mentioning names- made it seem like I made up the story or something. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE...FIND ANOTHER ONE FOR YOUR SAKE

We are extremely sorry for your unfortunate situation. I know for a fact that no employee of Driftwood cashed the money order. After the money order company does the research, you will find this out. There are a number of things that could have happened to your money order. We are not responsible for the rent until it is in our hands. The drop box is used as a convenience for those who can not make it during business hours. A large percent of the residents use the drop box. We apologize if you felt slighted by the Driftwood Management. December is a busy month, especially with tracking down rent for the month due to the expenses people incur from holiday spending.

i'm not surprised! apparently working at the apartments doesn't pay too well! they must find ways to suppliment their income!
