I use to love it here but the past year this place has really gone down hill. Outer walls are missing off of several buildings in the back, music booming at 1am, gates are broke as usual, and to top it all off guess what is on the front page of the newspaper' hmmmm Island bay resort(resort my azz) here read for yourself ....... Two bodies found in abandoned car

GALVESTON Police found two bodies in the trunk of a car at a Galveston apartment complex Friday night.
Police believed the car could be connected to a Houston woman s disappearance.
A maintenance man noticed an unpleasant odor coming from the trunk of the car, a red Chevrolet, which was parked in a lot at the Island Bay Resort apartments, 7400 Jones Drive.
He notified the complex s management, who in turn called police shortly before 5 p.m. Friday.
The car, registered to Enterprise Leasing Co. in Houston, had been reported stolen in Houston on Dec. 26.
Police had the vehicle towed to a secure area within the criminal justice center on 54th Street.
There, police Lt. Joe Pe a said, investigators were combing the car for clues as to who left it there and when.
A male and a female, both very decomposed, police said, were found in the trunk. It was unclear how long they had been dead. The remains could not immediately be identified, nor was it clear what their causes of death were.
Pe a told The Daily News earlier Friday night that police did not open the trunk until the rest of the vehicle had been thoroughly checked.
That will not happen until our identification officers have a chance to process the whole vehicle, he said.
Pe a said moving the vehicle was necessary, due to the public nature of the parking lot, in contrast with the delicate nature of evidence-collecting.
He also said officers were talking to apartment residents, in hopes someone saw whoever parked the vehicle in the space.
NOW doesnt that just make you want to move in to these fine apartment buildings'

That could have happened anywhere the car looks to have been dropped of at that location so what is your point? I you are not happy there you need to take that up with management not take it upon yourself to bring the newspaper here!

I agree. I have had no problems with music. BUT the walls are paper thin (as most apartments!) so you can hear everything that the next apartment does. The neighbor's cellphone messes with my speakers too! SO WHAT! Maintenance is not that bad, and as long as you keep up with the cleanliness of your own apartment, there should be no problem with roaches

Doesn't Suprise me! I moved out about a week before that happened. A friend of mine who was GPD told me about how many calls they were getting to the complex and that it wasn't safe anymore - so I moved!
