Yes I totally agree with DO NOT MOVE HERE. I've been here 2 years and the property has gone to SH_T. Yes construction is under way, however the workers here are very inconsiderate leaving huge messes behind, boards with nails sticking out, just making the grounds look unhabitable. And the front office's response to this is we just have to deal with it till they are done. Makes me wanna call immagration on them because I'm sure half of them are illegals from mexico. I've already had two flat tires from nails in the parking lot and the Office had them same response. WOW! Not to mention the new tenants are turning Island bay into Ghetto apartments, so yes I also beleive that background checks are not being done so safety is a huge issue. Last Sunday at the pool a pervert was lurking at the pool playing with kids. This made a few ladies nervous so they took their kids and left. And if you check the sex offenders website you will find several sex offenders residing there. If this does not convince you to go elsewhere try paying over $300 dollars a month for electricity because thats what i've been paying since February. I'm not sure if it's from bad electrical wires or poor AC units but thats half what the rent is. And yes call the Galveston Police department and find out about the crime rate here. There is just as much drug dealing going on here than in Parkland. Being very unhappy with Island Bay I will be posting this on ever Apartment reviews I can find. And I have many pictures of Island Bay and will be posting them so stay tuned for the website address.

Recant statement. I was wrong about sex offenders In Island Bay Apartments. Six months ago I found two that registered at 7400 jones dr. However they no longer reside there. They do live very close by, one on 65th heards lane, and the other one at Aston place apt. This doen't change the fact that these are not the apartments you want to give your hard earned money to.
