Nice quiet place. Kids can run around with no problems, or threats. 3 swimming pools, though the back one is very poorly maintained, with chunks of concrete on the bottom regularly.
Office staff is nice, with the exception of the tall, skinny dark haired one. If you are female, she is quite snobbish to you, very rude and curt. Otherwise, all others are nice to you no matter what sex you are.
Maintenance is good, though I've had to have a few things redone, and they are still not done correctly, but that's more of an annoyance than anything else.
The plans come in quite a variety, with up to 3rd level apartments. Some have balconies/porches, others have sun rooms (which basically extends your living room). They are very clean, the only complaint in the cleanliness department isn't with the complex management, but the residents, who walk their dogs, and don't pick up after them. On some hot days, you can step outside and just want to throw up from the stench of dog feces everywhere. The management (will, Linda at least) is actively trying to curb this problem.
If you do move here, my only suggestion would be to make sure any work orders you get put in, are actually activated.
Overall though, it's a great place, and the schools are the best in Galveston - Oppe Elementary, and Weis Middle School. The location is good, it's quiet, and it does NOT flood when it rains (not sure about in a Hurricane however).
