My wife and I currently live at the Club of the Isle, which is going to be converted to condos, and will be moving to The Residence at West Beach next June. I have toured this complex twice and I should have moved there the first time instead of the Club. Many educated UTMB students live there; you should make 3 1/2x the monthly rent in income (gross) so you get more educated individuals; the manager and assistant are WONDERFUL; the apartment interiors are very nice--some of the nicest on the island. Overall, I would recommend all UTMB students to check out the Residence at West Beach, they won't be disappointed and will meet a lot of med school students there.

How is your experience so far at West Beach? I hear the walls are thin. I would think that would make it hard for studying. The noise probably depends if you are away from the road. Let me know what you think. seasplsh@yahoo.com I need some pointers. I do not know whether they have rooms available but I like to have my peace and quiet.
