Newport at West Beach is a great place to live- the size and location of the complex make it very convenient - it is within 2 minutes of grocery stores, restaurants, not to mention the seawall is about 2 blocks away which make it a wonderful walking distance.

Other conveniences include a well-placed hot tub and pool as well as a tanning bed. There's also a gym in the building - it's nothing special, but the machines work; having a gym on the property is great for those that lack motivation :)

The staff is amazing - the manager and other staff know my and my husband's name. The sense of community with the staff provides a sense of home; they often have special events for residents- Holiday parties, potluck dinners, and even wine and cheese evenings.

The only negative things I can think of have already been said in other reviews - for the most part we have had good luck with respectful neighbors who don't play loud music or slam doors shut; however I imagine if neighbors have the TV volume too high or are yelling/talking loudly, one might hear that through the walls. The apartment complex across the street is slightly sketchy; however, after 3 years of living here we have never encountered a problem from them. Neither of these things is anything major, though, and it wouldn't keep me from deciding to live here if I had to make the choice again.

Overall, you definitely get what you pay for with this apartment - a very safe, clean, well-kept place to live, with a lot of conveniences and (if you live in the southern-facing apartments) beautiful views of the ocean.

LIES- ALL LIES! LYDIA SUCKS! Hot tub never works. Crap everywhere. Management is so fake and they love to act friendly to residents in front of potential tenants.
