I've lived here for almost a year, and I was scared when I heard about the guy who got shot outside the parking lot gate, but since then, I haven't heard of any incidents. Galveston has a lot of drug problems, so I imagine anywhere you live you should be careful. The parking lot could be better lit, especially with the large bushes around it. It's certainly better than some I looked at on Cove View road, where there were broken-out windows and people loitering in the middle of the day.
Either my neighbors are quiet or the walls (in the new section, anyway) are thick enough to prevent the annoyance of hearing music, tv, etc. The fixtures aren't the nicest--I bought a tension rod for the shower curtain after the one that came with the apt kept falling off. Who uses a glue-on rod in the most humid room in the apt in a very humid town' But, all my appliances work, the A/C and heat are good, etc. I haven't had any trouble with the mold mentioned in one of the other reviews.
I agree with one of the other reviewers that the management is ditzy but nice. I did have some issues with them when I was signing the lease/moving in, but apparently the management changed right at that time and caused some confusion. Since then, everything has gone well. odusyNYCcZ7yL3Bj5JtG
