Not a place to live

I wish I would have read the reviews before we decided to move into this dump. There are tons of cats everywhere. I cannot keep my car free from paw prints. It's a pet friendly place with reminders of all the pets everywhere. I have to guide my daughter to & from our car to keep from stepping in animal feces. The parking is horrible, you're allowed 1 parking spot NEAR your apartment and if you have a second car, it's a HOPE & PRAYER to be able to park in a vistor spot. The staff is friendly until you need something done, then they seem to avoid you. When we first moved in we complained about the cooling, they kept telling us everything was fine with our unit and ducts. We recieved our first electric bill for 11 days and it was $270.00. Our 2nd utility bill was $491.00. After much complaing, threats to the BBB they FINALLY changed our a/c unit. Our electric bill went down to a reasonable $180.00 for the 2 story apartment in AUGUST! If you look closely, you have the same size a/c unit for the 1 bedroom apartment as you do for the 2 story 2b 2b apartments. Look closely at the vents inside the apartment. In some of our vents you can see it looks as if someone took a steak knife and literally cut holes into the ceiling to get into the ducts. If you do not rent their washer & dryer, and purchase your own GOOD LUCK with them removing their W&D's. And while they are still in your unit you will have to pay. The out appearance is shabby at best, landscaping is pretty near the office, walk to the back and it's dirt and bushes. One more thing for the ladies if you're pregnant or plan on becoming....BOTH bathrooms are UPSTAIRS!

I totally agree with everything this resident said. The staff really does a great job of avoiding you and making excuses when you have an issue. One girl in particular is such a snob and makes you feel as though you're an idiot for complaining. I have to say, though, the maintenance guys are very nice and helpful. It doesn't seem to be their fault that this place sucks. I wonder if it's budgeting problems with the management company or something.
Cats are a huge problem. We left a bag of trash outside our front door for a few minutes before taking it down to the dumpster. A cat came and sprayed on the trash and made our front door smell for at least a week and made the inside of the apartment smell for at least 48 hours. We decided to set our trash on the back porch instead, (I have a small child and can't always run right down to the dumpster) and cats actually climbed up to our second-floor balcony to get in the trash! They're disgusting little animals!
One other thing about the office staff...one time late last year they hung notes on everyone's door knobs stating that they were going to make any repairs needed to our apartments on a certain date. The note also said to write down any repairs and hang it back on your door and it would be picked up within the next two days. Many people, including myself, did just that. I left mine on my door for a week and no one from the office ever came around to get them. It was like they changed or their minds or something.
I will probably be posting more comments about this place as our lease comes to an end (thank goodness).
