I've been here for awhile and I absolutely love this place. The interiors are absolutely beautiful - we have new(er) carpet, new fridge, fresh paint, and the place is just really nice. I love having the patio/balcony, too, as they're perfect for relaxing on a cool evening. The gazebo is nice, the pool is a bit small, but it's a clean pool, it "glows" at night, and there are rarely any idiots doing stupid things in it. The parking is a mess, as almost everyone has mentioned, but that's a minor thing and it's easy to get over. The staff here is awesome. I love Janel and Jamie and Susan and all of the maintanence crew. Richard is by far the best handyman I've ever dealt with - he's friendly, he's extremely good at his job, and he's just a great guy. All of my maintanence requests have been handled within 24 hours, usually within just a few hours and the work is always done right. The location is perfect - centrally located, so no part of the island is very far away - and the gates keep all of the undesirables out of the complex. The cats keep all of the critters away and our roach problems have been minimal. We had a "roach bomb" that completely destroyed every last living bug in our unit and haven't had any problems whatsoever since.

I don't want to overstate it, but this place is just great. The only thing that could be improved is the exterior, but with the wind/rain, keeping the exterior in great condition is a tough task. I'd guess that 80% of the houses around here that are painted (read: not brick) are in the same condition as the paint on the exterior of this place, so that's common in Galveston.

All of the people who have whined about stupid stuff on here are, frankly, idiots. Bugs on an island' NO WAY! Cats to keep the critters away' GET OUTTA TOWN! Which would you rather have: cats or other animals' You can't have it both ways, moron. And that's another thing I love about this place: all of the dumb rednecks expecting to live in Beverly Hills have apparently left. We've got policemen, firemen, nurses, Marines, and other quality neighbors here and we've had exactly ZERO problems with noise or other problems from neighbors. There's a mutual respect in this place and we all basically get along.
