I am a college student and recently moved to Villa Marina Apartments. So far, I couldn't have been happier with my decision! I was a little hesitant at first because the reviews that I have found have been pretty mediocre. All I can say is all reviews that have been posted before hurricane Ike should be removed because this place seems to have really turned around in a HUGE way. I should also mention that I really searched the area, compared prices, facilities, etc. and Villa Marina immensely surpassed all others.

Some items to note:
--Completely renovated- we're talking about new appliances, carpet, painting, light fixtures, clubhouse etc.... you name it, and it's probably been redone

--Great prices- being a student, I have a lot on my plate and when I found out that all utilities were included, I knew that it would be one more monthly thing that I wouldn't have to worry about. (this even includes basic cable and I heard they were looking into maybe adding wireless internet too)

--They have all types of discounts

--Awesome location- I love that I can walk or ride my bike to the UTMB campus or beach

--Super friendly management- New management after Ike... they are really helpful and friendly

--Really relaxing pools and lounging area... the clubhouse is going to be a great asset when they finish it next week

Well, I felt the need to write this because I hate that past reviews are still defining Villa Marina. Just know this place has definitely made a new name for itself.
