Moving here was a huge mistake. These apartments are bad news whether or not you have kids. It is dangerous even if you are a single person. I'd like that loud music at 3 AM, fights, and dog feces aren't something that people make up. There was a turd under my windows for days until the rain washed it away. The grass area around the building is completely covered with dog feces, but no one from management office seems to be concerened. So where do I start' I was moved into an apartment that was falling apart. The floor in the living room was collapsing, there was mold growing all around bedroom window, balcony door wasn't closing AT ALL, and apartment itself was completely out of level. One could definitely notice that wooden beams that support the floor from underneath are dry and old and are no longer capable of supporting the hell hole. If not for the ceramic tiles on the living room floor that were braking and cracking apart due to the corroded beams, management would argue you into the submission and prove that you are a complete idiot. Roaches are everywhere, but that is the least of the issues. One of my main concerns is that two weeks after living out of my bedroom, literally, I called and informed leasing office of my intentions to contact corporate regarding this entire mess. I was quickly moved into a different apartment, which I admit was in a lot better condition. I've paid for a covered parking, but I was only able to park on it twice for the entire month. Calling a courtesy officer was a waste of time. He'd never return my calls, and apartment management has done nothing to inforce the parking rule after countless complaints. When I contacted Garland Police, he told me to not enforce the parking rule on my own because apartment complex is responsible for that. I finally returned the tag back and decided to give up on the idea of fighting for the covered parking. Feeling completely helpless, I contacted corporate office, which wasn't an easy task, and talked to Rebecca Cook. Unlike the ghouls in the tenant services, she listened, but that is all she did. People, they do not care about your issues, but they do care about their own pockets. Keep this in mind before signing lease. It took some hard work and being persistant with Rebecca and Jack to get my lease alleviated. I am leaving this place for good, and believe me I won't be looking back on the worst day of my life.

Just a quick MUST KNOW list:

*Apartments are very old and run down
*Management neglegence is beyond worst and to get anything done, one would have to ride their ass constantly, including contacting Rebecca Cook. By the way, don't expect her to be there or call you back, even if she said she'd be there at certain time. When I confronted her with her words, she tried to make an idiot out of me.
*You will be moved into just about anything they can sell, so be careful
*Expect loud music, fights, mold, malfunctioning appliances (including AC/Heater)
*Some people report drug dealing; that maybe, but I could not confirm that
*If you will ever have to deal with Jack, you will be argued with as the best case scenerio.

Good luck people....

Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!! I could not agree with you more about Jack and that putz Ray. More than once I've called tenant services when the tile in my living room was cracking as I was walking on it, and the only thing he could offer was a very warm hang up. Ray is extremely impatient and could care less about anyone's concerns. Keep on driving guys, don't bother stopping by at Advenir. You are better off paying extra couple hundred dollars and getting so much more for your money. Believe me, I learned the hard way.

RUN! AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS COMPLEX! jACK DON'T KNOW SQUAT! HE HASN'T BEEN IN TEXAS FOR MORE THAN A YEAR AND OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T KNOW ABOUT STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OR ELSE HE WOULD HAVE CHECKED OUT THE FLOOR BEFORE YOU MOVED IN! I've had a problem with my dish washer and my oven ever since we moved in. That was before Advenir bought the property. Just because Jack and "Lazy" Ray commandeered the complex, doesn't mean they're any better or more competent than the previous management. Ray looks and acts bored like he's just here for the paycheck and doesn't want to be bothered with our petty little problems. Just dealing with him makes my head swim. If I did my job like he does, I'd be on the unemployment line right now. But, I guess Advenir doesn't care as long as a warm body is sitting in that office chair and they keep upping our rent at renewal. The old saying "you get what you pay for" does NOT apply here, that's for sure. My advice to you and anyone else reading this: if you see a property with Advenir anywhere in it's name, keep driving.
