I wish I had seen these reviews before I moved in. it is absolutely true about the sky high electricity bills. From our first week here, our lights kept shutting off everytime you use the stove or the microwave. I complained over and over about the breaker. The City of Garland said that the breaker was tripping because something was overloading the circuits... One day while cooking, one of the burners made a loud pop and fire popped out... I called Ms. C, and it took over 2 days before they sent someone to fix it. And then when I requested a new stove, she said they only repair the parts, they do not replace the appliances WHHATTT'' It gets worse from there, there is low water pressure in the upstairs bathroom, plus the faucet continually dripped out a stream of water. Not drops..stream Nothing was ever done about that My electric bill was becoming higher and higher, it was running around $800 dollars a month. The City of Garland kept saying it was on the complex to find and correct the problem. I kept getting the runaround from them. The kicker was this past April, when I got a $2000 light bill!!! For one month!!! Ms. C kept saying they would check it out. But I didn t have that type of money to pay that bill.. The city of Garland would not make arrangements on that, and our lights got shut off. At that point with 3 children, it was either pay the rent and be in the dark for two weeks or pay on the light bill, and get evicted and still be in the dark I decided to move. I let Ms. C know why I was moving, she said she was sorry.. that we had to do that not the end yet I start moving our stuff, on Thursday, but on Friday I come and move more things, I m trying to get everything out by Saturday, but dang it! You know what she did' she had called the City of Garland had the lights turned back on, she changed the locks on Friday evening, after I had left moving some stuff., and sent a cleaning crew in to throw away our things!!! I show up on Saturday morning and just about all of my stuff was gone!!! The cleaning crew had taken all our things thinking I left it there!!! OMG!!!the story could go on forever I just want to say, with all of the break ins and robbery..(oh yes, its true) and poor maintenance issues, this is a terrible property. Please check things out with the City of Garland if you are unwise enough to move here anyway I only had 3 months left on my lease, that s how long I put up with this crap!!! And yes, what she did was illegal, and I am checking into civil remedies.. Below is the crime report fro Feb 2009, I m not exaggerating about any of this, Im still very upset, while writing this It s this bad!!!
