Not worth the price you pay

Moving from out of state, I thought these apartments were awesome. They looked nice and new, the staff was real friendly and I was very excited to move in. Then the real fun began. First, they don't tell you that there are certain utility companies that you have to go through at this complex. Then they don't tell you that those companies don't know how to run their businesses. The Direct TV has gone out on me at least 4 times in the year that I've been here. Apparently there is something wrong with the power grid in this area (so I've been told) which means my power goes out AT LEAST once a month, and when you call in, all you get is "oh, sorry" Not to mention an almost $200 electric bill for a 2 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor that doesn't even face east or west. Still trying to figure that one out since I'm gone a minimum 12 hours a day during the week. The turnover rate since I've been here is crazy, and I'm about to be added to the list. The leasing office changes their hours whenever they get the urge, so if you are commuting from Dallas, the only time you can talk to anyone in the office is on the weekends, because they are closed by the time you get home from work. So make sure you have any large packages sent to your job, otherwise you won't be able to pick them up in the office. They apparently only have one maintenance person for a 10 building complex, and if he's out, you're just screwed. If you want parking anywhere near your apartment, you have to rent a carport, because they got the bright idea to build more of those and garages than just regular spots. I just feel for as much as they charge for these apartments, (and want to raise the rent, I might add) the service hasn't measured up at all. Sure, they look pretty as you drive by, and they're nice to get you in the door, but it's all gone downhill since then.
