Avoid like the Plague...

My wife and I had originally moved here from Towne Center Village in 2002--and the apartment was actually great the first few months.

However, the management staff changed, and that's when things started taking a nose dive. The facilities were not kept up, the pool was never regularly cleaned, the staff would not impose their parking restrictions (covered parking for tenants only--yet there would be friends/visitors of a 'regular' kind that would park there and steal spots), and they didn't bother to screen tenants any longer.

For example--we had a neighbor above us that regularly had to have the police called on them because they would be up at 2-3am partying, carrying on, and getting into loud shouting matches (inside and outside the apartment) with the renter's children. After numerous police calls, requests for help from the staff, it took over a year to get that guy out of there. That was pretty much 9-10 months and scores of chances too many in my book, especially since this issue was happening almost on a weekly basis (daily during the summer.)

In the end, this and our prior apartment lit a fire under ourselves to get a house. While I like home ownership, there's something to be said about not having to worry about repairs, taxes, and being close to neighbors (if they're good people, anyway)--something you can't get in a home. Oh, and like the others have said, the security gate is a joke, and lighting is horrible. Also, my wife reminded me that they weren't even compliant with Federal guidelines concerning handicapped access--there was a poor gentleman on the first floor that couldn't even leave his apartment without help from someone else until the Boulders management (about six months after the tenant said something) fixed the problems.

Bottom line--if you're looking for an apartment, avoid this one like the plague. In fact, if you pretend that it just doesn't even exist, you would be better off for it.
