I am appalled! I can't believe how I have been treated as a resident here at Lakeway Colony by the property manager and maintenance. For the last 3 weeks I have been calling maintenance every other day to get someone out to my place to fix some problems that include:
1.) Washer drained into my 2nd bedroom (Pipe is clogged/ backed up)
2.) 2 inches of water in my floor(Took 1 1/2 weeks to get someone to vacumn up water)
3.) Now,3 weeks later BLACK MOLD on wall & they can't do to it till Monday'4 wks now
4.) Still can't do a full load of laundry. Half a load won't overflow the pipe.
5.) A month later they finally came and cleaned my molded smelling carpet.

Not only these problems but my AC has not worked in two months! A maintenance person finally came out to put freeon in it...2 days later it is 87 degrees in my apartment.
I called again. They came the next day but when I got home the AC was set on 68 and all my windows were still open! So, I went out to grab a bite to eat after closing all the windows hopefully it would cool off. NO, it was 92 in my apartment. And guess what, they will be out again today to "fix it."

I even hate to mention god forbid it rains or your neighbor is using the same drainage line that you are using at the same time (dishwasher, washer, sink) A lot of apartments are linked to the same drainage lines. So, when two people use something the resident on the bottom floor (me) gets a flooded floor....

1.) Came home from work one day and water was flowing over my kithchen sink.
2.) Got up one morning and the neighbors above us had a leak in one of their toilet pipes and half the ceiling fell through overnight into ours. That was a huge plaster mess! It took them two days to come out and repair.They were out there the day it happened to make sure the water was turned off. But that isn't the best part, it happened again the day after they got it fixed!
3. My favorite was having the fire department called one night because our chimney was on fire! It was about 20 degrees outside and all of our neighbors was outside in their jammies too. That was an embarrassing night. The chimney sweep that came to clean it two weeks later said he doesn't know why the whole building didn't burn down. It was that bad. He said from his experience that the chimney looked like it had never been cleaned. How long have these properties been here'

I have been nothing but polite and respectful to all employees at this community.
I received a call from the property manager. I was delighted. I thought she knew what has been going on with my home for the last year. I was wrong.
The property manager told me that the reason that nothing has been fixed for the last few weeks is because of my vicious animals.I have a 35 pnd. cocker that can be quite intimidating when she doesn't know who is walking into our home but she has been put up in the back bedroom when I know maintenance is coming so they can do what they need to do. She then stated to me that my 3 cats were the ones being "vicious." They run and hide underneith the couch when someone even knocks on the door. Please. My neighbors peek in on them during the day just to say hi. I will admit, they are not supposed to be there (long story short-watched for a friend-friend never came and got them)that is my fault but to blame all of their short comings on the 3 cats I am just speechless. They had no trouble mentioning to me that the dogs was being quite intimidating with her bark so she has been put up each and every time. But now that someone was probably ripped into today about all the issues that have been going on with my home I am sure they mentioned the cats and they are so vicious to make what they have been doing to me, "ok". I have new homes for my cats today. That was taken care of today. The part that angers me the most is that Jenifer said that the maintenance person said that there was feces everywhere and she would be by today to take pictures. My house is spotless! Litter boxes are cleaned daily. They are making me feel aweful like all of this is my fault and I am the victim. Ow yeah, I went into labor 2 days ago and I am dilated to 2 cm.

I don't want to move. It is a great community! The pools are spotless. Noise is never an issue. Your neighbors are great. The landscaping is kept up pretty much all the time. Parking isn't an issue. It is the maintenance and property manager that makes this an awful place to live. I wouldn't recommend it. They have put me through too much. I am on my 2nd apartment because my first apartment was falling apart and they couldn't keep up with that one either. I hope this review will help you make an informed decision for your family.

these are the best apartments i have every had the pleasure of living in, the staff is very freindly, i would recomend this community to anyone the property is very quite and safe it realy feels like home i plan to sta for a while
