I honestly question if some of these reviewers live in the same apartment complex as me. I've had nothing but great experiences at Stoneleigh. A few issues here and there, but nothing worth moving out over. I think maybe some of the bad reviews are from people who clearly arent cut out for apartment living .. if you cant handle coming into contact with people and the different way they do things, you need to go live in your own home, lol!

My apartment is beautiful, big, and well maintained, and a steal for the price. My building is right next to north garland avenue, so the traffic can be a little loud on weekday mornings, but its no big deal. The complex itself is extremely quiet and well maintained. My neighbors below me and next door are all great, no complaints with them.

I've had a few problems with my ice maker on the fridge, but maintenance is quick to come help. They've also been great in helping me carry heavy packages up to my third floor apartment, which is a great help!

The pools are *beautiful* - there are three pools on the premises... if one is crowded, I just go to another. I find the clubhouse pool is generally the most crowded and has alot of young kids and parents, which I really dont see the big deal about..but if you want peace and quiet, I either go to the rental office pool or the one near the n. garland avenue exit. Obviously if there are unattended children, you should report this to one of the office staff so they can take care of it rather than just complaining about it. The pools dont have a lifeguard on duty, so they have no way of knowing these things are occuring unless you tell them.

The staff is wonderful and super helpful with anything you may need. There are tons of fun events at the clubhouse during each month. Sunday brunch is one of my favorites. :)

Security is great, the gates arent noisy and are never left hanging open, the premises are well lit.

My complaints are really few - we cant grill on our patios obviously, but there are grills near the pool areas that you can supposedly use. Problem being that every single one of them are filthy, stuffed full of ash, broken, and completely unusable. I've complained about it several times, but they havent been replaced. A minor issue, but I'm sure the grills on the patio complaints would subside if they'd actually get working grills in the pool areas.

My only other real complaint is parking - several tenants in the area like to park their boats and trailers in the parking lot, taking up 2 and 3 spaces at a time in the free parking areas right next to the building. I have on several occasions come home to no parking, and been forced to park several buildings over due to this. I really feel this is unacceptable - boats/trailers/etc. have no business sitting idle taking up multiple spots in the prime free parking areas right next to the buildings. Either park out of the way, or pay the extra to have it in a garage/covered spot, or stored elsewhere. This was an even bigger issue recently when it seemed everyone and their mother had visitors from out of town - its very frustrating to find every spot around your building taken by out of state cars when you're paying for your apartment. I'd much prefer if there were assigned spots and visitors spots, rather than a free for all.
