Living here has become more and more repressive. I feel like I am living
under the Gestapo at times. We are threatened with fines and "violations"
regularly. And recently we got info about our patios:

NO exercise equipment, NO boxes, NO mop, broom, or trash can,
NO furniture that isn't patio furniture, NO coolers, floats, or towels

Plus the rent is high and we now have to pay for water, sewer, gas, and
sewer services. The traffic around here is terrible - there are often
accidents at the intersection of Shiloh and Buckingham. Last summer
there was a drive-by shooting and an exploding car there. And the parking
sucks - there is only 1 assigned parking space per apt. and visitors often
park in our spaces. The visitor parking is way in the back. Sometimes there
is crime, too.

I plan to move as soon as I can.

The rent here is in line with other apartment complexes and ANY OTHER complex charges for utilities. The complexes that don't charge back for utilities are not places I'd want to live. The complex cannot be blamed for events which happen at the Shiloh/Buckingham intersection. In general, there is not that much crime here. There are 2 PARKING SPACES PER APARTMENT. As for the rules about the patio, they have always been in place at this complex. I welcome them because the Courtyard view is one of the things I like about this place. I wouldn't want the view junked up with towels, bikes, coolers, etc. If that's the sort of view you like, try the complex next door.

Sounds like to me that you need to move next door to Clampett-leigh or whatever that community is next door. Rules are in place for a reason and apparently you think that they don't apply to you. Ironicly, you would probably be the first to complain if the complex were to begin looking trashed out. Speaking of that, are you the chick that is into the junk yard patio look? ::giggle::
