These apts are NOT luxury apts and have not been for some time now. The description in the name is extremely deceiving. The appliances are old and outdated. The cabinets are old and way outdated. Carpet padding is so thin it feels non-existant. Paint is slopped over the shelves and trim time after time and is never actually stripped off and recoated so in humid weather anything on the closet shelves or bookshelves sticks to the paint. Same with the doors..the doors make a noise everytime they are opened because the paint was so thick that the doors separate from the paint on the door frames. Something always needs fixing. The toilets are always needing to be plunged. Dog poop is seen right in the middle of the parking lot at times in front where we park our vehicles and on the grass. Disgusting! The quality of renters being allowed in has now hit rock bottom of the bucket. I'm afraid it will resemble a section 8 complex very soon. I see safety becoming a big issue soon especially those of us with children. And they claim for years now that we can't have our choice of cable or internet services that is offered in Georgetown because they signed some stupid contract with dish. Dish is unreliable especially in rainy/stormy/cloudy weather and they are scammers. They try to scam customers into certain services & fees when the customers have specific orders. I miss Suddenlink and there is two pieces of tubing right outside the complex driveway that says "cox" on it. How difficult is it to offer any complex in the town the same services everyone else has? Rip off! The DSL sucks it is so slow and costs more than Suddenlink. I'm going to check with the city laws to see if this is legal. These places aren't worth more than $700/month if even, one or two bdr. There was a barking dog on someone's patio several days back barking non-stop and echoing off of other buildings. No one came out to put it away and it was so disturbing in the early morning dark hours. Why would you leave a pet outside on a patio knowing it is disturbing surrounding apts? Wonder what kind of people they are, YIKES!

It is now illegal for the Apt complex to limit your choice of cable providers. When I was there this was an issue! I hated the dish network only option. I know now that the Texas Legislature made that illegal. If Waters Edge is still doing this, I hope someone notifies the District Attorney's office and file a criminal complaint. I would never return again. You should try Westwood Homes, they are larger and the community residents are very nice and professional...

Took care of that notification just tonight, thank you for the tip! Westwood..a great place and best complex in Georgetown hands down. Susan does a great professional job of taking care of her residents. However, the pet weight restriction prevents those with bigger than small sized dogs from being allowed to rent there.

I have lived in Waters Edge for many many years and have seen four different owners during that time. The above rating in my opinion borders on being ridiculous. First of all the cable company is not Dish Network but is Directv...and yes I would like for there to be a choice but it has been this way since the year 2000 and is not something that just went into effect, nor is the doing of the current owners. The apartments a very nice. There is some noise, but when you live in apartment there is a certain level of noise that is to be expected. Barking dogs, music to loud...do not expect someone to just come out and stop it. Complain about it...complain until it is no longer a problem. There is a courtesy officer available just for that sort of thing. If one chooses not to use the service then my thought is suffer. Live is what you make it....so is your home. Be it an apt or a single family home. The complex is quiet and safe...and the pet owners are to blame for leaving piles of poop around. If you see it happening...report it...don't just gripe about it. Happy in Water's Edge

Looks like the original review was written by a Westwood owner/employee. Read the shameless advertising they do for Westwood in the third paragraph. Sounds like something that would be written on Westwoods website. By the Way. I am a resident of Turtle Creek Village Apartments. My girlfriend and I were thinking about moving into Waters Edge. We both agree that Westwood took a cheap shot here and they should be called on it.

Wrong hain0064. I lived in drug infested Apple Creek very briefly, then West Wood and following a few years later lived in Waters Edge. The only place in all of my years of renting that I desire to move back into is West Wood Town homes in Georgetown. It blows any other complex away in Georgetown. I live in a complex in Austin for the last two years...I would much rather be in West Wood again. Manager Susan lives onsite and that makes a huge difference in quality of resident life. There are also several law enforcement officers there and residents who have lived there for years. Waters Edge began moving in trash when new management took over. I had a druggie drunk bunch of rednecks living next to me in Water's Edge. Watched them do their drug smoking on the hill behind the carports. Called the office several times. They were too afraid to approach this resident who also had parties and unauthorized guests for weeks at a time. I was waiting for a bullet from the guy's shotgun to come whizzing thru my walls. I was extremely uncomfortable at how they looked at me and my daughter when we exited or entered our apt. They would spray some nasty apply spray in their apt to cover up the drug smoke and it would flow into my apt thru my sliding doors. It was disgusting. Also had an unauthorized dog who pooped and peed on their balcony as it dripped over the side onto their piles of cigarette butts on the ground outside the 1st floor resident's balcony. They tried to hide the dog until one night multiple residents called the answering service for security. How disgusting. And guess who ended up having the GPD violation posted to the door? Me. A bunch of residents called the GPD and office to explain to them they had the wrong apt! I had to physically coax the apt rep out into the courtyard to point out the dog on the neighbor's balcony so she could see, smell and hear for herself. Did I get an apology from mgnt for the mistake? No. Mgmt was too embarrassed from getting flack from GPD about sending them to the WRONG apt. Unfortunately I ended up moving out before they got evicted. So, don't talk to me about some BS of West Wood advertising. I miss that place. My dog is over the weight limit which is the only reason I'm not still there. Get your facts straight before you go shooting off your opinion with assumptions and guesses!
