I was supposed to lease an apartment with The Fairways but I decided not to because my apartment complex I currently was in said I had to give a 60 day notice I gave my notice a few days short on 60, so I would have had to pay rent for two apartments and I didn't want to that. My problems started after I told The Fairways I was not going to move into the apartment. I had put down a deposit on my apartment and even had my apartment number to hold it. They cashed my deposit check when they were not supposed to, since I didn't move in, the office staff was trying to tell me that they had the right to cash my check even though I didn't move in. I talked to everyone in the apartment office they were giving me the run around for over a month. Finally I ended up speaking to a lady from there corporate office who just so happened to be there to straightened stuff out at the office because there were some problems people with people who worked in the apartment office. They office staff also tried to lie there way out the situation with me but that didn't work. I am now satisfied and there corporate office did refund my money along with the extra charges I had to incur.

it states in any agreement that you sign and in any lease or conditions of an apartment if you agree to move in and for any reason are unable to do so they do not have to refund your money. its part of the whole inconvienence of them having to find a new tenant to replace you. they do not have to return it. you got lucky getting your money refunded.
