Decent until Equity bailed

Riverhill used to be a really nice place to live. Lived in several apts on the property and in different floor plans. Was ready to resign at the end of my lease until discovering that Equity Residential sold out to Greystar Management. With equity you had lots of guaranties and benefits but with those all being gone now we are getting out fast before Greystar runs this place completely into the dirt. Lived at a Greystar property in the past and it was a nightmare! Riverhill has been going down hill over the last 6 months, here are some example:
Parking - In the evenings and on weekends you should be prepared to walk unless you have a reserved spot. People will hit your car with their doors also so get ready for multi colored paint marks all over the side of you vehicle.
Noise - Lots of loud cars roam around the parking lot in the evenings and race on the road behind the property so if you are in the back of the property it can get noisy. Most of the noise depends on what floor you are on. On the 3rd floor it isnt so bad but if you have someone over you, you can definitely hear people walking. If the people above or below you shower or wash clothes you can also hear that because the pipes in the walls make noise and make bumping noises when the hot water is on especially. People like to go out and talk on cell phones in the hall ways as well so when you sit in your living room you get to hear all sorts of conversations in the breezeways. Also people slam doors all the time which gets really annoying.
Grounds - The flowers and greenery on the property are actually really well maintained. The issue is there is always huge piles of dog poo everywhere so you cant enjoy any of it. People also refuse to put trash out only on the days posted so it tends to pile up outside in front of the buildings especially on holidays.
Safety - Always felt safe here with well lit areas. The gates don't work too well though so dont let the whole "gated community" thing fool you.
Construction - Crap insulation and weather stripping. Expect really high electric bills in the summer especially on the third floor with vaulted celings ($350 a month). I always have dirt from my plants OUTSIDE on the INSIDE of my apartment from it blowing in from the sliding doors because they arent sealed well. You can also see light from the breezeway halls through your front door seal. I have to slam myself into the door everytime I come in to get the alarm light to go to green since the sucky seal wont read the door as closed. My celing leaked 3 differnt times when we had heavy rain over the course of about 6 months. They said they fixed the leak each time but it never completely went away until the third time and each time they said they would repaint my celings but never did so I have huge water stains all over my celing.
Maintenance - Friendly and always came in a timely manner but they were bound by Equity rules where they had to in 48 hours or you could withhold rent, now that they are Greystar that no longer applies.
Staff - With Equity they were professional and friendly. I knew them all and felt like family with them. Now the office staff has changed and in the little time I have had contact with them I can say I am NOT impressed at all. Two words..Space Cadet.
Overall just really disappointed with the turn Riverhill has taken. Go elsewhere.
