I have lived at Riverhill for over 3 years and it is okay overall. Having never lived at another apartment complex, I have no basis for comparison. I think at least one reserved parking space should be included in the price of rent. Parking is so sparse over here that I had to buy a reserved parking space. Many times have I come home to literally no parking spaces. It is not uncommon to see cars squeezed in between the parking spaces allotted for boats and trailers. So far, I have not had any problems with someone parking in my reserved space. I m pretty certain that the cars I often see parked next to me aren t paying for those spaces.

I also have a detached garage and let me tell that they are very narrow. I scraped up the rear fender of my car pretty good while trying to back into it once. I do not like that there is only one power supply in my garage and it is up on the ceiling near the garage door opener. Is it too much to ask to have at least one power outlet on a wall at least'

There seems to be a high turnover rate for the office staff. Since the complex was just recently acquired by Greystar I m not sure if that will make a difference in that regard.

I will say that maintenance requests are done very promptly. I ve never once had a request take longer than a day, or even had to follow up with a phone call for the status of one. I can t complain about that aspect.

The grounds and landscaping are well kept. The pool always looks sparkling even though I have never been in it, or the hot tub. Unfortunately, some people seem to like putting their trash out on the curb on days that it isn t picked up. That shouldn t be necessary since trash is picked up three times a week. You are supposed to be fined $50 for leaving trash out on a non-pickup day but I m not sure how effective of a deterrent that is since I always see it being done.

I have had my car broken into twice since living here, and all for a crappy CD player. There seems to be issues with the rear gate because it is often stuck in the open position. There is a gate code but I don t know how effective it is in stopping someone from just following another car in while the gate is open.

The carpeting they use in the apartments seems to stain easily. My carpet seems to grow stains out of nowhere and it s not like I m dropping things on it either. I do not know where they are coming from. I live on the second floor and don t really have issues with noise from the upstairs neighbors. I think the kitchen sink is a little on the small side and there is virtually no lighting provided in the living room. The only reason my bedroom has light is because I installed a light fixture on the ceiling fan. I m not sure if that is a common problem in all the apartments though. My whole apartment just seems dark all the time.
