I recently went to apply for an apartment at dove creek villas. The location was what I needed for my two jobs and the price was what I could afford for a student starting on her own. However, I wish that I was not treated so poorly and was stolen from by the apartment company!!

I went to sign a lease and I filled out the application. I disclosed that there could be a discrepancy when they look up my information because when I was 17 I signed a contract that was illegal due to my age. However, since 18 I have perfect rental history without one glitch. When I told the leasing agent she said it was no big deal at all and not to worry about it. She said that they only look back a year so therefore I was lead to believe it did not need to be on the application. Then I went to the back and started reading. Once again the leasing agent told me "oh dont worry about that, I fill everything out here, you just sign right there." So i did. I can know say what a mistake that was. Because now they are keeping my deposit of 300 and claiming that I commited fraud on the application. However, everything was disclosed. Nothing was ever reviewed with me and the application and policies where left unsaid. They also went forward and filled in my application without my knowings for a different apartment.

Therefore, in summary, I believe that Dove Creek Villas mislead me and stole from me. I was treated very poorly from the beginnning. Management was next to impossible to get ahold of and the apartment did not even make an effort to work with me. I strongly believe that everyone should be aware of this and watch out for this company. It has brought me nothing but headaches.
