The place started going downhill as I left....

We lived here both in a two bedroom and a one bedroom. While in the two bedroom, we were still one of the newest tenants, so things were pretty quiet. The office staff at the time was very helpful. Later, we moved to a one bedroom on the second floor. That is where the problems, although minor, started. We really didn't hear our neighbors much, except when they were walking upstairs. The stairs vibrated very bad. The door to door trash pickup was very intermitant, and finally we were told to bring all trash down to the grass, and it would be picked up there instead, though sometimes it would take all day for them to pick it up. Noisy cars with loud engines and stereos were always a problem.
One of the worst offenders was the actual maintenance man driving around in his pickup...screeching tires and banging the bass. Our final major problem was the airconditioning. Our window faced the setting sun, and most of the midday sun. Know how quickly our apartment heats up, we would start the thermostat at 69 degrees in the morning in hopes of keeping it cool. By late afternoon, the temp has risen to 78 degrees. It would not drop below this, and in turn, the a/c would run practically all night. Around 1 am, it would finally start to bring the temp down. After several complaints, they installed a brand new unit down below. It did not help a bit. I told them the problem was the blower was not strong enough to cool the whole apartment. They seemed to disagree with me, and it was never resolved when we moved out. That was back in 2002. I drove by there last week 7/2005. The same apartment we lived in now has that relfective coating on their windows to try to dissapate the heat. I see they haven't fixed the problem yet. And the complex has really taken a hit in the appearance department. Needs paint, new fences and just general upkeep.

I believe this person is talking about another Woodlake Apartments. We have never had trash pick up here. The description of the maintenance man with the truck does not describe any of our personnel. The property was freshly painted about 1 1/2yrs ago. Please delete those comments. Thank You! |

I have lived here for 6 years and there has never been curbside trash pickup. I think this person is referring to another Woodlake of which there are a couple in the surrounding cities.

I work from home and am in my apartment almost ALL DAY and I can tell you that the maintenance men have never driven around the complex with stereos blaring. Also, I have been here almost three years and there has never been trash pickup. This person is talking about another complex.
