If your a single person moving from out of town looking for a nice and quiet place to call home' Do not move into Garden Park Aparts. The apartments have all right rent prices, and the maintence men are awesome at their jobs. BUT these apartments are ancient! If you choose to move into these apartments your going to have a bug problem, no not roaches but flying bugs and beetles, because the windows are old and bugs will crawl under them. When its windy outside which is just about EVERY day the roofs (made of tin like whataburger roofs) rattle and make the horid sound so bad you cant sleep. The aparts laundry rooms are disgusting. The management and people in the office are wonderful and act friendly, but once you walk out the door they are horid- They WILL be in your business and talk trash about you whether it concerns them or not. I've never run into people that are so low so be prepared. Whether you have an upstairs apart or a downstairs, be prepared to hear everything your neighbor does below you or above you.

The bad part is when you move out, not only will they find every possible reason to not refund your deposit, but also to say you OWE them money.

There is an open-door policy at Garden Park Apts. and if there was a problem with your windows, a work order would have fixed it. Deposit refund depend on a written 30 day notice (whether lease has expired or not)a forwarding address and a final walk through on the unit. Your experince whould have been less trying if you had brought your concerns and complaints to the office and before you moved out and all charges would have been explained to you in detail. I refute your claim of talking about Residents, it is unfounded and incitable. Regards to you in finding a home where you can do as you please, leave without notice and claim 'no fault' when charges are filed. Brenda Heath, Manager

Roaches are a big problem. The comment about deposit is right on. They will charge you a fortune when you move out and keep your deposit for normal wear. Neighbors are very loud at night when you are trying to sleep. The place is dirt old and the grounds are not well kept.

i agree i live there for 3 years and hated it, it was aweful and when we moved out we gave 30 days notice and all and they still said we owed them a crapful. so if you move here be prepared to pay a crapful after you move. i have never met anyone who moved out of there that did not get a huge bill after they moved
