The apartment is nice. The price is cheap and there is a reason for that. Heavy smokers live below me and I am now very aware that the air conditioning and heating system is shared. Therefore, what they breathe, I do too. If I were a smoker I could save a lot of $, it is that thick. I will be moving soon, due to not wanting to develop a smokers cough. It is a nice apartment though. Sad. I asked the apartment manager how can this be, she said that it is not legal for new construction, but these apartments are so old that they are "grandfathered" and not required to have separate air systems. I was shocked. I am also saving to move. I think it should be required to at least disclose that they are grandfathered in to an old air standard. It is not right to take someones money and give them dirty air. I hope to give you information to save you from a move that is not cheap.
