I am planning on renting an apartment in the Hidden Lakes Apts. at the start of 2009. The young lady in the office has been helpful so far... I did get a covered parking, but after reading the reviews I'm wanting a garage now! I just bought a brand new car and if it gets broken into... not good!!I can also tell just by looking at the parking areas for the tennants that it will be bad! I chose this apt complex because it had the larges bedrooms of all that I looked at (and all the other rooms were spacious as well). I only did a 6 month lease because I do not want to be stuck there if its noisy. I work 2 jobs and need my sleep. From what I understand you can get at&t uverse tv there (hopefully). I will update my review once I have moved in and been there for a bit. Wish me luck!
UPDATE:
I moved in at the end of Jan. To answer your question no you can not get att u-verse!! you have to go through ygnition cable, its your only choice!! I read lots of complaints about them, but I have not(luckily) had any problems with them. Their cust service has been good also. As far as parking, you absolutly must get a covered spot or expect to be making a hike to your car daily!! I am overall happy with my descision to move into hidden lakes. I do have a few complaints like the fact that there are no gate remotes so it is a pain in the butt to get into the complex with just the keypad, especially after you go get your mail! I have learned to get my mail on my way out of the complex. As far as hot water and water pressure, I have a 2bd, 1bath and I cant take a full bath without running out of hot water and I kinda feel like im showering in the sprinklers cuz there isnt great pressure! I have talked to my neighbors and no one else seems to be having this problem, so i might just have a crappy water heater! The maitnence guys are really nice and they do take care of your stuff pretty quick, but if you have a problem with something, I suggust you go in and fill out the paper for repair instead of calling it in, as the people in the office are not very "on top of it". As far as crime and it being as earlier stated a party place... not so. I have not had any problems or heard of any problems with car break-ins or any other vandelism. It is quiet and night, I dont hear any loud people ect... Any way thats kinda sums it up for me! If you have any other Q's let me know!

I actually do know about the crime because I know one of the police officers that patrol this area everyday. I made it a point to learn all I could with all aspects of this apartment before I decided to move here. If your experience there was so bad I do not understand why you would live there for 2 years?! I would be getting out asap! But what do I know....

I love how this guy moved in at the end of January and posted a review about 1 month later.
after you lived there for two years, then you can tell me about crime, parking, people of front and a host of other things. until then, i think your review stinks. to contradict crimes when you know next to nothing, whatever.

you can get Directv of course you have to have a satelite on your porch or hanging off your balcony but its way better than ygnition. and you can bundle your directv with AT&T. Just a little something that might help

I've lived here for almost a year and I've seen the cops come and go a few times. Two residents were fighting because the guy upstairs urinated on the guy downstairs patio while he was drunk. There was no rain in the forecast that night, buddy! There was hell to pay until 3 am. Everything seemed quite until a month ago. I now have a new neighbor who stays up until 2 am almost every night on his patio with his buddies and I can't sleep b/c my bedroom window is in the walkway. He doesn't talk loud, but it resonates down the walkway and right into my room. I don't want to complain b/c he isn't obnoxiously loud, but loud enough that I can't sleep. Its true about the office staff. They are definitely NOT on top of things. Their record keeping is awful. They have billing errors frequently and will accuse you with such a condescending tone without really researching it first. Getting an apology AFTER they realize the error was theirs is next to a miracle. Parking is a joke. If you don't pay for parking, you might have to park along the street. The risk? Your car has a chance of getting its windows busted. Yes, it happened to my neighbor. And the pool? Very gorgeous! Great selling point! Hardly open. Usually shut down. And why??? I'm afraid to ask. 1) They won't call you back to tell you. 2) Do you really want to know? The few times I walk past the pool to go to the gym, beer cans and trash litter the pool area. One time a kid cut his foot on glass INSIDE the pool. My lease is up soon and I've already made the decision to relocate elsewhere. Oh - Ygnition does suck. I can't even watch a news clip without it stalling every few seconds. You pay a high rate for crappy internet.

Just a thought for you, They sometimes turn the water heater's temp down. You end up using more hot water then to get your temp up. Ask the office to have someone turn it up for you.

Well...as far as crime here. We moved in the middle of March, my car was stollen the very first night we stayed here. brand new, not even a year old, doors locked everything..stollen. Luckily the cops found it a week later...everything gone but nothing wrong with the car. Then a couple months later, someone busted my window and stole everything outta it. All the apts did was give us a garage for free, we wanted to leave, they basically said no. I like this place, but the safety isnt worth it when you have 2 children. We have 4 more months left..good luck!
