I'm fairly new to the apartment complex, my husband and I moved in about 3 months ago. I was really excited about the pricing and ammenities but that took only a week to fade. I fully understand that you can't control who your neighbors are but I tried hard to find a "community" feel at an apartment. So far, in just 3 short months, I've already had two new tenants next door and a new one moving in above. Each one was worse than the last. It makes me feel like my complex is full of "squatters" not people making this into a home for themselves and their families.

The complex is very pet friendly, which I thought was great. We have a medium size dog and I love to be able to take him on walks to the pond. However, you simply can't walk through the grass because the majority of tenants do not clean up after their animals. They don't work hard at enforcing this rule and as a result the smell can get pretty awful during the warmer weather.

My main disappointment comes from the community ammenities. I love living in an apartment and saving money on gym fees along with having easy access to the pool. However, since I've been here, it seems the gym has not been cleaned... EVER. It's possible that they do clean it and it is just dirty again by the time I go in the evening but I am inclinded to think that the staff simply do not go in there. My husband almost broke his neck because the facing on the one treadmill was broken but simply lain over the top so you could not tell that it was loose. They have two elliptical machines and neither of them have worked. One of the elliptical's has an arm broken off and has been laying against the wall for over a month. There are a pile of screws laying next to the elliptical as well. Besides the weight machines the bike is the only thing that works. We'll see how long that lasts.

In the gym there are scent sprayers which either do not work or have not been refilled...ergo... it stinks. They provide you with a nice little Ozarka cooler... with no water or cups. And my main beef is that there is no sanitation. I always bring a towel but that is little use if you don't have something to spray the machines down with. Don't even get me started on the pool which is always broken and you never receive notices about. Needless to say...if you enjoy any excercise you need to take the money you save on rent and get a gym membership. Of course you should pray that the gate is working so you can actually access your apartment once you get home from the gym.

Parking is also an issue. They tell you that guests need to park outside the gates after 10pm. Hopefully you'll be lucky enough to have an apartment near the gates because you'll be lucky to get a parking spot.
