Get any promises made by office in writing!!!

My 1st complaint is the parking. There isn't any! We were put on a "waiting list" for a covered parking spot that was in front of our apartment. We shared a covered spot with another tenant when they were not at the apartment. She was also planning on moving out very soon. We made inquiries with the office about the vacancy that was about to come up. We were promised that spot, and put on a waiting list. After that tenant's lease was up at the apartment we got a nice little note on my vehicle saying "move your truck or be towed". I asked the office about it and the spot was given to someone else because they were put on the "new waiting list". Thirty dollars extra a month is too much to pay for a spot, especially when you are already paying $1000 for rent!
My 2nd complaint is management and maintenance. The office personnel are rude, snotty, and just plain condescending! They are only happy to see you when you bring the rent check. You ask them to do certain things for your apartment and they will take it under "advisement". It takes at least 4 weeks to get any maintenance on your apartment done. We made a maintenance request to get a kitchen drawer fixed, but the maintenance man never showed up! The last month of my lease, a window was broken by a vandal with a rock! We filled out a police report, and the very next morning I made a maintenance request to have the window fixed. Maintenance determined the frame needed to be replaced, and management had to "look" for a contractor that serviced these types of windows. Maintenance told me we would not be charged for the window replacement. Wrong!! I get a bill from Elm Hollow wanting $250 to cover the costs of replacement. The window was finally replaced at least 6-8 weeks after the incident happened.
My 3rd complaint is the grounds and facilities. The grass was not green by my apartment, trees are in poor condition, and the swimming pool stays cloudy at least 80% of the time while I lived there. Since the tall weeds behind the complex were cut, it drove all of the bugs into our apartments. Everybody has to contend with scorpions, ants, silverfish, and crickets. Asking the office to have somebody come out and spray is futile. They will take it "under advisement.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. I would not endorse this place to any potential tenant. I try to lead a peaceful life, but there was no peace here! If you are thinking of moving here... don't! If you are anyways, get every promise made by these jokers in writing. No matter how small the request may be. It will come around and bite you if you aren't prepared.
No wonder I saw more moving vans being loaded up so people could leave this sorry excuse for a community!

I agree with you! I don't know how these guys get away with how they treat people. They feel that they hold your mail as a favor, I mean come on its their job to hold our mail. Thats why I signed the lease, because of all the services they say they give us! Those people at the office to call us back saying that they don't appreciate us calling them to complain about them? Hello! Aren't they called the staff? They are supposed to serve us.... One of these days the staff is gonna mess with the wrong person.

you people have a screw loose...first of all its not the management's responsibility to take care of your mail..its the post office and the postman is the one who changes names in the boxes..get real...get a life....as far as the guy with the broken window...from what I understand is that he caused a big scene with a daughter and boyfriend at the pool and he was asked to leave by the police and he also knew who broke the window....check with Helotes PD.....

First of all Mr. anonymous, you don't even know half of what is going on with some particular issues. Yeah I got a disorderly conduct for my actions at the pool, but what you don't know is that "boyfriend" raped my girlfriend's daughter and now she is pregnant with his bastard child. We told them that he was not allowed to come over without permission, but he invites himself over at ALL times of the day or night. As for the broken window, that same "boyfriend" admitted to breaking it a couple of months after it happened. As for the Helotes PD, what a bunch of idiots! I get fined for trying to keep my family safe and they don't do much of anything but side with the office staff when I try to explain what is going on. As for the broken window, the report was put in with Bexar Co. Sheriff (another fine institution I might add), and they only mark it up a criminal mischief. That rock came very close to hitting my girlfriend's children while they were asleep in their beds. You are the one with the screw loose. If you respond to this post, why not use your name, leave an email address, or a phone # and we can discuss. I bet you are one of those Greystar minions that try to soften up these reviews and keep potential tenants in the dark about how bad this rental property is!! As for the mail, the office gives an occupancy list to the post office about a week or two before the month is ended. I did not receive any mail for the last few remaining weeks that I lived there. That happened to me twice while staying in my apartment, only because I went on a month to month term with this community. Regards, Jeff

You all are a bunch of f'n idiots! Don't you know that it is not up to the apt. or managent to provide YOUR f'n safety. Why the hell do people ALWAYS blame the apts. for what could happen in a house. Good thing that ya'll do live in an apt. b/c you would have no one to blame your petty problems on!
