1200 Post Oak Danger Zone!!!

Since we have lived here there have been several burglaries in the parking garage including (on 3 occassions) of tires and rims being stolen off vehicles in the garage and left on blocks with lug nuts scattered all over the place. Strangers are allowed to wonder the halls that are supposed to be secure (but are not). The elevators are extremely slow and I personally have been trapped in one for over 30 minutes with none of the emergency buttons working. I was also injured when the elevator came to a jarring hault and threw me into the handrail. I have heard of several other people being trapped in the elevators on numerous occasions. The sprinkler system as of June 27, 2007 is still not working. Management is negligent and does not care or show any concern for the tenants. She acts as if this is her personal Queendom and she has never warned any of the tenants of the burglaries that have taken place here. Many of our neighbors have moved out and we are following suit. This building is a major disaster waiting to happen and managment does not seem to care. I would run as far and as fast as you can away from this place.

Wow management - ----- - told us sprinklers were fixed - and so reported to the fire dept as well several months ago. We too are moving out and almost laugh every time I see the "kids" giving tours to suckers. The concierges are wonderful - that's it - and be careful to ask them what they think - when ----- isn;t around - or just ask how many concierges and dorrman etc have quit in a year. A really nice building that one manager has destroyed in attitude and cleanliness and service in so short a time. And be careful if she or her girls tell you something - GET IT IN WRITING - cause when you say but they told me that will be the answer you will get back from her - Did I put it in writing? I fully agree with who ever you are. And security - anyone can park and come in the back door and right into the elevator.

I am about to sign a lease. Who is this ----- lady and how do we get her fired? Aside from her, and the occasional burglary, is there anything else I should consider before signing the lease? Thanks!

----- is the manager and has been for awhile. Most of the other residents I've spoken to don't like her. She acts like she is a stuck up ---*h. She is not friendly at all to the people who pay her salary. (The residents). Along with the fire hazards and elevator problems, dirty hallways and bad building maintenance I would take our advice and sign a lease somewhere else. This place is a dump and were looking forward to moving out. (I also know of 7 other residents who are moving out this month for all of the problems listed here - and the burglaries are more often than occasional).

Hi--I'm really disappointed to hear all this. I had lived there previously and loved my time there. The manager was the same, and I actually found her to be quite nice, my favorite property manager out of anywhere I have lived. Anyhow, I am considering going back and am curious about the sprinklers. I have been reassured that they are in full working measure now -- how could you tell they still were not working in June? Also, do you know of any burglaries/break ins of residences, or was it just cars? Thanks for your help!

I considered moving here even after I read the posts. The first time I went to the property management was nice and there were no tenants around. The second time I decided to go on a Saturday and the sales agent was nice but more than one person was in the process of moving out. All I saw were frowns and anger. I overheard people talking very badly about the building and management, repeating almost exactly all comments in the posted reviews. Needless to say I did not rent.
