DON'T RENT HERE....Go to Braeswood Place! Please consider it! Great location, great prices, floor plans, wonderful management, terrific deals (look-and-lease, medical center employee discount, 6 weeks free prorated rent).
Mae in the office is terrifc! There is a $500 referral bonus...use my name and i'll be MORE than happy to split it with you.
I'll be moving out of this place in July and regret EVERY minute that I lived here!
Please, please consider Braeswood Place.

I live on the top floor, but that is far from the first complaint I've heard about noise through the floors on the lower floors. I do think it's kind of silly to ask the people above you to walk quieter, though. I'm quite sure they're not walking in any particular way - the floors must just be not very well insulated for this to be such a common problem.

You're right...it is "SILLY". Glad that you were able to hear the sarcastic tone and humor in my comment.
My floor is absoutly quiet! I think we are all very respectful of each other. A friend of mine in the complex has someone living above her and I can hear them walking but it's not like the girl above me. She must get up late every morning as I can hear her jump out of bed a few minutes after 6am with her feet hitting the floor. She then races around her apartment, thudding of course, until a little before 7am. All is quiet until she returns a little after 5pm when the loud stomps start again. This is no exageration here...several of us have heard her walking laps in her apartment, for 15-30 minutes at a time. I know it must be good exercise but that's what the work-out room is for.
And, if you still think my comment was "silly"....think about how you walk. Maybe just try to be a little more considerate of others. After all, it's probably YOU that is being too loud. :o)
