Absolute Worst Management Experience I've Ever Had

When I gave my move in date, I was called shortly before it and was asked to change it because no one was going to be in the office that day. I showed up, and my apartment had no refrigerator or blinds for 2 weeks. The hot water in my shower didn't work, and took 2 weeks for that to be fixed as well. There was a period of 2 weeks where the office was vacant, and all requests for things to be fixed were totally ignored. The switched management. I moved out. I requested my deposit returned back in July when I moved out, nothing. I'm still, 8 months later, calling and begging for it and getting some excuse like, "Oh, no one called you back' We've been out of the office." The apartment are nice. The management is inexcusably irresponsible.

Hello- I am just as frustrated with the management at Gramercy. I have beent through this exact same problem with them. What they are doing is illegal. By law, they have a certain number of days (I believe it is 30-31 days from your move out date) to return the deposit, or provide you with an explanation as to why you are not getting any money back. When this happened to me I contacted a lawyer. You should seek legal representation and/or take Gramercy to small claims court. You could receive up to $1000.00 (probably more since it has been 8 months)in damages. In addition to contacting an attorney, you should contact the management company, Greystone Property Management, and let them know you are seeking legal representation for this matter. They are actually the ones that issue the deposit money. I hope this helps. I know how angry you are!!
