Roll the Dice and See What Happens...

So I moved into this place March 2007 to live with my best friend whose other roommate was having financial problems. You cannot find a place as nice looking as this one, and the size of the bedrooms, bathrooms, and walk in closets are hard to pass up, so I signed onto the lease. But what looks good is not always good. Management was bad, took forever to find them open so I could complete my lease papers, took forever to just find out that I was qualified for the place, and were not very friendly in general. Management changed as I was living here and things really did not improve. Parking was a mess, but they started assigned parking which made things a little easier. As for safety, it's a coin toss because even though there are access gates, there is an open gap near the corner of the property where an unsuspecting person could be robbed at gunpoint. The doors to the elevators are not very secure because one night when my roommate was out of town, I heard someone trying to open our front door while I was lying in bed reading a book. Scared me, and I called the police to do a check. Noise wise, it would be wise to live on the 4th floor because you can here people walking upstairs above you and the walls are paperthin; one night I could'nt sleep because the couple on the other side were at it all night long! Overall, if you're a person that does'nt need to speak with the management staff often, can roll along with things that sometimes break, and deal with noisy upstairs neighbours, then you'll do fine here. Like they say, you get what you pay for, I'd move down the street to the nicer condos off of North Braeswood even though they are a bit more.
