A little perspective, please

I have lived here for six months and have yet to have a problem with the operations or management. Yes, there is noise in apartment complexes; that cannot be avioded. Yes, some of the management can get caught up the in Galleria/River Oaks mentality; just go talk to Greg-- he's great. Yes, the apartments are a little more expensive than some of the others in the area; overall, the amenities are good, the upgraded touches in the units are nice, and the property is generally well maintained.
What's most important to me, especially in a metro area of Houston, is safety. Since I've moved in, I think that there has only been one instance of a break-in, and management was quick to notify everyone. That was several months ago, and there has not been another incident since. The security guards seem friendly and competent (particularly the weekday fella). Moreover, I have not gotten a "shady neighbor" vibe from anyone I've come across in the halls, and after my last complex, my radar is fairly sensitive for detecting questionable characters.
If you live here and think you have reason to question management or safety, skip on over to the reviews for the Broadstone down the street. Good Lord! You'll definitely gain a whole new appreciation for life here.
