I have read many of the reveiws posted about this place. I have lived here for several years. Everyone is going to have a different experience, because they have different requirements. If you are looking for brand new, garages, garden tubs... this place is not for you. If you are looking for convenience, beautiful landscaping, large apartment for a great price (in the Memorial Area I might add) then this is a place you need to check out.
You have to ask yourself what are your expections BEFORE you move into a place. Don't blame Management because you expected new, when you KNEW you were renting 40 years old.
As far as the price...Most people are looking for the best deal when looking at moving. The place I left (A property off of West Alabma) was going to raise my rent there as well; of course I had gotten $300 off each month when I had moved in 18 months before that and I knew that is was probably going to go up. I did not want to pay the price they were asking, so I decided to move. Not to mention the difference I am paying in the utilities now. With the price of electricity these days, you are getting a hell of a deal at this place.
Many have talked about management, and yes there was a time when it seemed like there were new faces every month. It has been over a year that I have seen the same faces in the office. I have spoken with several of them and they have always been helpful.
You could not ask for a better Maintenance crew. Any time I have called in a request they are prompt in their repairs. The guys are very nice and have always worked around my schedule. I know one of them has been here for 18 years.
The security is good. What apartment community doesn't have car break-ins' The place I lived just before I moved here, and that place had gates, is where my neighbor got his car and house broken into on two seperate days. It is nice to know that this place at least has someone that walks the grounds while we are all sleeping and that management informs us when something does happen. I never received a notice from the place I left. The only reason I knew of the break-ins, was because I lived a few doors down. Anyone who reads the news knows that crime has increased all over Houston.
Overall, you get great space and great service for a really good price.
