Management Doesn't Care About Their Residents

According to our lease, air conditioning calls should be handled immediately. I called at approximately 6:30 tonight, only thirty minutes after the office closes, because my air is blowing hot. It is 80 degrees in my apartment. There is a documented record of the workers in the back of the building tripping the breaker and cutting the cooler off. I was told, when I called back at 9:00 pm, that air calls would be handled in the morning. First, no one gave me the courtesy of a personal call. Second, the air is supposed to be on if the outside temp is above 58 degrees. It is currently 61, but it was 70, according to the weather channel, when I first called. As I mentioned, it is 80 degrees in my apartment now. The entire contents of my apartment were destroyed not by IKE, but by the management's incompetence and by their total inability to communicate with each other. I have tried to be understanding, but his group really doesn't understand that the residents here deserve more than their utter disdain. I don't care how cool it may be outside, if the air hasn't worked all day and if my apartment is currently 80 degrees, I am uncomfortable and in need of service - a word they obviously don't understand the meaning of....

Couldn't agree more. I left "The 9900" about 2 years ago with the same frustration. I, too, came in under different management back in 2002. The location is great. The area, for the most part was great before the I-10 expansion project began. I'm not even sure the same management team is there as was there back in '05. If it is, it is hands down THE WORST management team I've had in over 10 years of living in Houston. However, unfortunately, I think it is pretty typical of Fingers Properties.
The thing with 9900 is, that a) when you have units that were built back in the '60s and b) expansion projects that make the area a disaster area....you should be busting your ass everyday to do the little things extraordinarily great...Somthing 9900 has yet to do in the past 5 years.
Luckily, I own now and do not have do deal with the BS of renting an apartment.
