Unless you live on the top floor...stay away! The floor creaks with every step my upstairs neighbor makes and you can hear the water running down the pipes in the walls. I have not slept a full night since I moved in.

i've been a resident here for 18 months and im moving out in a month to a loft near the ballpark. If your lucky enough to have stumbled over this page, please take from these reviews one thing about this place: loud, LOUD, unconsiderate neighbors. I live on the third floor and I can hear people TALKING in the room next to me, hand to GOD i have heard peoples conversations through the walls here. you will definately hear someone showering above you, walking, and certainly hear a party. The walls must just be paper-thin. management HAS tried to do something about it but, as capitalists, they simply have no incentive to do so effectively. They will send them complaints and tell them to stop but really, it is useless, because even at a reasonable volumn it's way too loud. Also, let me talk about the --- population here: I'm --- myself and one of the reasons i moved here is because this was rated in a popular montrose magazine as being one of the top 10 places to live in houston if your ---/les. a fact that you'd think management would be proud of, but if you hear it from them they won't say it in a loud voice. I don't mean to be sterotypical, but ---- will listen to loud music, OFTEN. even alone, with no party, at a reasonable volumn, this kinda music penetrates these walls so much that you can hear lyrics. Beutiful place, wonderful to live at a great price, and when you leave you'd better believe you will know ever single word to "hello dolly" also, the rumors of car break-ins are founded. about half a mile towards the city on the left side of w.dallas is one of the hottest drug spots in houston; Crime is outrageous here. A car will get broken into about once a week (those sometimes the gangsters come in "gang-bang" fashion and hit as many cars as they can (the record so far is 13). When this happens managaement will send around a little disclamour to everyones door: "Oh Goodness everybody! there were some cars that got broken into, better be careful! here are some helpful tips for safety: ect, ect, ect". Townsquare management has refused to put up cameras or guards, I myself wrote them a letter but they arn't going to do anything about it, your rent simple isn't high enough to keep your car 100% safe. The "security" gate at the entrance is also widely known as "the revolving door". you have to have a code to get in AND out, but when crimnals come in they just wait on the ---- to come home from their 3:00AM parties and follow in behind them. I personally have never had to tell ANY pizza man or friend the gate code to get in, it's un effective and for looks. oh! and this one is great: recently, mangagement has finally acknowledge the cat problem we have here. Amli townsquare has a (and im not joking) "cat colony" living on grounds. tenants have been writing in for months saying "PLEASE GET THESE CATS OUT OF HERE", but management has limited their responses to "getting to it some time in the future". so, recently, a concerned tenant called CBS 11 news! they did a special that called this the biggest cat colony inside the loop! Guess who finally started listening to their tenants? that's right, management. After sending off the obligitory advisory to everydoor telling everyone about the cats (like we didn't know) they employed the freaking A-Team of exterminators. This is all going on right now as of feburary 22, 2007. I wish I could stay and see the battle-royal but i'm moving, i'll catch the rest on CBS 11 morning edition. This place has it's ups and downs but so does every place that isn't set at sky-high rent prices. |
