I lived here for a year, and was overall happy. Unless youre 100% new to Houston, you cant be too suprised about the area and that it can be a scary place at night. Those beautiful condos and apts werent there 10 years ago and you cant expect a place in downtown Houston to become as safe as the suburbs over night. I always have an intrusion alarm where ever I live anyway. The staff were always very nice and helpful. The pet deposit is outrageous, but they are very pet friendly and often have events for the pets on the weekends. As far as the garage goes...who hasnt had their car dinged'' Its part of the territory. You should be aware of your surroundings at night though...the hallways can be a bit creepy. I liked it overall and only moved b/c I got a great deal on a good friends condo. Hope this helps.
