Okay. Most of the reviews you're reading about this place are a little on the ---- RETENTIVE side if you ask me. I've lived here in AMLI for over a year and have really enjoyed it.

YES there was one month back in October (Halloween night to be exact) that there was a string of cars broken into. Moral of the story: YOU LIVE INSIDE THE LOOP IN HOUSTON, TEXAS. Don't leave anything worth stealing in your car. EVER. If you got your car broken into it was because you were a moron and left an expensive navigation system stuck to your front windshield. Asking for it in my opinion. I don't know much about the girl getting robbed at gunpoint that same month, but like I said You have to always be prepared and cautious inside the loop in Houston. The security gates are always closed and there's a separate code to get in and out. I've never had any problems. And in one year that was the ONLY incident I heard about. I used to live off Westheimer and we had car break-ins and apartment robberies almost monthly. Seriously. So if you're a "scaredy-cat" then go live in the suburbs. The city isn't the safest place in the world. Duh.

Overall, I have really enjoyed my time at AMLI. This truly has been the best apartment I've lived in. No, they don't have alot of the "fancy pansy" little amenities that some people DIE to have like granite counter tops, but really, who cares' I lived in a place with granite counter tops. It was overrated. Are you planning on staying for 20 years' No' You're renting' Oh, right.

It's a younger apartment complex so expect noise on the weekends. We live on the second floor, and yes, our neighbors do sound like large cows grazing through their living room at all hours but again, that's to be expected in AN APARTMENT.

AMLI Towne Square in my opinion has the best location in the city. You are close to EVERYTHING. The highways are close. Midtown is close. Downtown is close. Washington area and the heights are close. Montrose is close. Even Rice Village or the Galleria is relatively close. No more than 10 minutes to go ANYWHERE. I love it. ...and trust me i shopped around the entire area and they were the cheapest in that area by a landslide.

Moral of the review: The apartments had great service for the most part. Problems here and there, which are to be expected from an apartment. Pretty decent neighbors. Good security. Awesome environment/pool. Best location in town.

People, quit being ----. These apartments are pretty damn nice overall.

I have lived inside the loop in Houston my entire life, and this is the first time anything like this has ever happened. So you recommend I DON'T leave my insurance and registration in my glove box, and I'm a moron for doing so? You think it's normal that 7 cars got broken into this past weekend, and no one noticed? That a building has armed robberies and does absolutely nothing in response? Sad.

Moron and deserve it? Probably. You can't blame an apartment complex for getting your vehicle broken into. Does it suck? Yes. Are you pissed? Yes. Do you live inside the loop of Houston? Yes. It's not the apartment complex's responsibility to make sure you don't leave things that are valuable in your car. If you did, then yes, you are an idiot. I lived in a upscale apartment outside the loop with two 24-hour security guards. My car STILL got broken into. It happens. No apartment complex can stop that completely. That's just the way it is. Unless you have a garage???your car is always a risk. Instead of whining, why don't you keep EVERYTHING WORTH MONEY OUT OF YOUR CAR next time. Guarantee they won't break in unless your dumbass leaves something worth taking inside.

Additionally, you can leave absolutely nothing in your car and some trash is going to come along and break into it if it is a nice car. It is not fair for me to have to drive a piece of crap instead of a nice car to avoid being robbed by some worthless person who believes they are more deserving of my things than I am.

seriously, if you look at ANY apartment complex in this area there will be reviews saying there are car break-ins. The only way to stop it would be to have a manned gate with some kind of face or license recognition so that NO ONE can get in, assuming you know its not someone in your apartment complex doing the break ins, and then you have to deal with 20 questions everytime you want to get to your home. Don't even think about having visitors or using a different car!
