Nice complex, helpful staff, good maintenance but rent is high

I've lived at AMLI at the Medical Center for the last 2.5 years and enjoyed my time here. The complex is nice, relatively well built and has decent facilities. In my time here the front office staff has always been very helpful and the maintenance staff is always prompt and fixes everything correctly.
On the downside, the rent is a little high - it has increased by a certain amount each year since I've been here. Parking is hard to get after 7 pm. One thing of concern was the amount of time it took for AMLI to rebuild the perimeter fence that was destroyed during Ike. However, there was a temporary patrol car in the complex at nights during the entire time - so that was reassuring.
The management is always prompt to inform residents of any apartment or car break-ins that occur - though this is pretty frequent - atleast once or twice every 3 months or so.
The community is multi-ethnic and that's nice. The events like the Halloween Party and breakfasts are also fun. On the whole, I would recommend the complex.
