I have lived at The Bentworth for over 2 years now, and I have seen it deteriorate significantly over those two years. The management has changed at least 2 times and the grounds have become unkept. Maintenance, I believe, is understaffed and it shows in the lack of repair to buildings and slow response to maintenance calls. An apartment in the front of the property was vandalized by young kids in the complex and left unboarded with broken glass everywhere for months before anyone cleaned it up and boarded the windows. That apartment is still boarded up and has yet to be repaired. Our stay at The Bentworth has been relatively uneventful, less witnessing police chases, vandalizations of cars in the parking lots, and having our car hit-and-run by a drunk driver while parked in the complex. Pizza delivery services would not delive after 6:30pm for the first year that we lived here for fear of being mugged. We have been fortunate so far in that we have not been robbed or mugged ourselves, but I will not venture out into our complex after dark alone.
