Has anybody moved into this apt since it got renovated' I talked to one of the staff and it is now called the Abbey @ Briar Forest. She said everything is brand new inside and out and they have few tenants still. We're going to check it out tomorrow.

I went out to the property, and I am actually going to sign a lease. I don't know how they use to look, but they look really good to me (especially for the price). The fitness center is amazing, and good thing about it is that it is available 24/7. I compared their units to other units in their price range, and I must say I'm very impressed. |

I just rented an apartment there and I am due to move in the first of June. They have removed all of there old residents and are being very sticky on who they let rent there. The apartments are all freshly painted, new carpets, ceiling fans and appliances. The grounds are all being redone, and what is done so far is beutiful.

I hope this new management is much better than the old. We lived there in 2002-2004 and it was a dump. There was no fitness center, mold was growing rapidly in our showers but they blamed it on us and they wouldn't come fix anything but was quick to try to throw someone out if they were late on the rent. The place was a dump and soon as we could afford it we moved out. Just wasn't safe for our then 2 year old son.

I just moved in. The aparments are nice. The kitchen lacks storage space but ok. My biggest problem is the thremostat, it is unresponsive once it gets going and it has taken 2 days so far to fix, and still waiting. It sounds queit for the most part but the walls are thin. Something you dont notice when you are being shown an apt. Parking is VERY TIGHT. The spaces are small. The staff is ok at best. The seem friendly but are always in a rush. They can never find information on you when you need it. When you call the office you always have to wall twice because the after hours service comes on. I was not given a tour of the complex. I signed all my paperwork ON MY OWN with out anyone to help or explain anything. I paid rent and was handed my keys. They didnt even show my where my apartment was. They just pointed at a spot on the map. I had to find the fitness center on my own, which is pretty spiffy. The entrance and exits were not explained. The pools are alays locked. I hope after its all settled service gets better.

Okay I signed my lease last week! BIG MISTAKE! I HAVE MOLD! And I have heard reports form others at the community. When I reported the mold, they just painted over it with primer! Then it popped up on the bathroom wall! They did the same thing. So I had a friend who does home inspections come over and look for me. He pulled up the carpet, and behold! MOLD MOLD MOLD! The foam between the new carpet and the cement was WET! And you all know this helps mold grow!!! When I told them this, they said they would fix it? Well my question is, how can you fix it when the cement floor is crumbling due to moisture and mold! I am waiting to speak with the manager about it, but SHE IS NEVER AVAILABLE!!! DON'T Move HERE!!!! I am calling the Health Department TODAY!!!
