Not Worth Renting Here

The grounds and the units look good but trust me looks are very deceiving. Here is a breakdown of the problems I've had in the 18 months that I've lived here:
- Office misplaced my rent check and required me to pay extra late fees for their mistake (now I ALWAYS get a receipt!)
- The parking lot is constantly being closed or roped off which makes it very hard to find a parking space
- The 2 trash cans on property are constantly overflowing
- There is 1 entrance gate and 1 exit gate on property so it takes close to 5 minutes just to drive around to get out
- The property claims to be 'gated' however the front gate is always open - in fact for the last 3 months we haven't had a gate at all
- The office staff is very unfriendly, unhelpful, and it is impossible to get someone to return your phone call
- The pool in my phase is open roughly half of the time
- The boilers are old and it takes a while for the water to get hot and if you take a shower at the same time as someone else in your building good luck - I hope you like frigid showers
- The water has been shut off twice without notice
- Pizza Hut on Westheimer will no longer delivery to this complex since a driver was assaulted and robbed on this property
They get you in by offering great discounts (right now there is a special of 4-months free rent) but be prepared to pay heavily if you renew your lease. Personally, I can't wait for my lease to expire!
