Yes, I feel mislead by the leasing agent who assisted me. They pretended that they are so selective and "screen" the residents here. Well, after moving in I have found that cannot be true. It seems that the majority of the residents are GHETTO! They hang out talking loudly and kids are running around on the property unsupervised (including in the pools). The pools are not clean at times and the last time I went to the pool, I was "run off" by what seemed to be a ------- pool party (with lots of PDA or public displays of affection). I have nothing against someone's sexual preference...but, PDAs are distateful whether straight or ---! The parking is horrible...the spaces are too narrow. My vehicle has acquired countless "dings" and scratches since I becoming a resident here (only 3 month). The maintenance staff is practically worthless. Whatever repairs that are done are done in a shoddy and careless manner. The WATER BILL....is most misleading! I was informed that there was a water bill and I was expecting to pay an average of $40.00 a month (the leasing agent was unable to even give me an estimate or average amount). The water bill is about $75 a month!! The bill is for not only for water and sewage...but includes gas and trash!! I contacted the billing company (a different company from The Abbey) and from my understanding the total usage for the whole building is divided among the number of apartments, and each apartment is billed that amount. Well, my next door neighbor must have about 10 people (I've counted 4 adults, 4 kids and 2 babies) over there! That's not fair when there are only 2 adults and one child in our family. And, the trash!! Prior to moving in, the leasing agent informed us that the trash compactor was at the back of the property and did not bother to show it to us. I did not think anything of it until I had moved in and took the trash out. What a stench!! Most fo the residents just drop their garbage and heavy trash near the compactor! Not only is it smelly...it's an eye-sore as well! BEWARE and "take heed" before moving in!
