We moved in Aug. of 2008, we were offered the Best Buy $500 gift card which took us until late October to get. We were told the property had been totally remodeled and upgrades done to the apartments. The very first day we moved in, we called to order pizza from Pizza Hut, the young lady let me know that they no longer delivered to the apartments after the sun went down due to being robbed twice in 1month. A red flag popped up right away. So, I asked her what kind of place had my family & I just moved into' She plainly said "The Ghetto" & "unsafe". We lived upstairs w/our then 2yr old toddler. The neighbors would constantly complain that they could hear her. There was no place for her to play other than the patio. The A/C never cooled properly. We bought every type of curtain,screens, and tint. And nothing worked. 2weeks before Christmas our unit had an electrical fire. The neighbor's heater on the other side of the building caught fire. Hmmm, but they spent all this money to remodel the apartments. The managment did put us all in another apartment, but it was smaller than the one we had, we lost square footage as well as storage. We no longer had our patio as well. And they wanted to charge us the same rent we were paying in our large 2bdrm for the smaller 2bdrm. All the management w/an exception of Michelle are rude and unhelpful. I cant count the times I have gone in the office to speak to someone and they are either eating at their desk while talking on the phone, or have their shoes off w/ their feet propped up on their desk. Our car was broken into in front of the office. There were no notices sent our to put anyone on alert of what had happened. A week to the date later our car was hit by a resident. The parking in section 1 is aweful. There is no room to move your car. The pools are never clean properly. And alot of times they are closed. The excuse they give is that they only have 1 person who is also a maintenance man to clean all 3 pools. The water from the sinks and bathtubs have dirt and rust that come out of them. Nothing had been done, I even took a clear glass of the water to the office after making serveral complaints. I asked if they would drink or cook with that type of water. Not safe when you have children.
We have since moved out. Upon moving, there was no one there to do our walk through. So, I took pictures of every room, closets, fridge, stove, I mean everything. We have been gone 2weeks and still no one has been in the apartment to do the walk through. All of a sudden they cant seem to find where we paid our deposit upon moving in.
This place is a SLUM!! And yes truly the GHETTO!! But if you dont mind the unsafe grounds, the gates that NEVER work, and all the drama & problems the apartments have.... Then my hats of to you.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY TO ANYONE OR ANYONE WITH A FAMILY!!
