Stay away from all things Abbey!

I live at the Abbey at Eldridge (formerly Chelsea Court) and it's the same thing but worse! The screw you big time on the water bill (water, sewer, gas), on avg for a 2brm $100 up to $150! And there is always something wrong with the water...low pressure, too cold...as of lately scalding hot! Nothing in the apartment is gas but you have to pay for not only water but HOT water! Ask why the bills are so high and they claim they can't answer...the funding for renovation has to come from somewhere right' I had to pay a double deposit which I have never done in my life, in conversation I found out that other people were asked to do the same. Another way to finance the renovation. Biggest sham in the Energy Corridor! My lease is up at the end of the month and I can't wait to get out. Most of the people that moved into my building last year just up and left during the night...and I don't blame them. Don't fall for the whole mult-million dollar renovation pitch line...it's a crock, the only difference from when it was Chelsea Court is that they made it more appealing to the eye...it's still hood. I hear loud music on a regular basis, HPD is here quite a bit lately, unfriendly staff, questionable business pratices, the list goes on and on. It will be interesting upon my move out to see what other ways they will come up with to try to get money out of me. I intend on getting ALL of my "double" deposit back and am ready to go to battle!!
