all of the statment below is not exaggeration and is truth. I have lived here for a while and at first it was okay... until Katrina. I am not racist or judgmental but honestly thats when I noticed a HUGE increase in crime. I am not saying it didnt exist before then but if you look at the statistics the numbers dont lie... crime has increased SIGNIFIGANTLY since August. There was a girl that was kidnapped and raped, and it was duirng daylight, and by knife. I do know for a fact that she was beat up and assulted. I would not wish that on anyone. I also have an issue with the "quality" of people here, its not so much the "residents" but their friends or people that dont live here that love to hang out... we are one of the only and few complexes with a basketball court, look I am not saying basketbvall is bad, but the guys that come in are seriously agressive and like to start drama... and THEY DO NOT EVEN LIVE HERE! I am a young girl and I can tell you for a fact it is NOT SAFE!!!! I make sure to call my neighbors when I come in late at night and I got a huge dog recently to keep me safe, hes a big guard dog. I also am taking weapons/gun training, because it is that bad. so if you read this so not move here!

i totally agree with your post. i am originally from New Orleans and I have noticed the drastic change since Katrina. Your comments shouldnt be and aren't taken as racist. Your observations have been noticed by many upstanding native New Orleaneans. The property has really declined.

The comments SHOuldn't be taken as racist nut they are extremely offensive. Just a note to everyone reading...don't mention race, class, gender, religion, sexuality, etc. unless it's RELEVANT to what you're talking about. Saying that the apts aren't safe would suffice. PEOPLE STOP BEING SO BLIND AND SO STUPID!!!
