Are these bad reviews for real' My name is Rachel, I have lived at Alexan for nearly a year. Come to almost any resident function and you will see me there with my husband. I love the Alexan and it's been a wonderful year. Now I will admit, there have been a few things that made it a little incovenient BUT that had everything to do with the residents, not the management or building. The lofts are awesome to live in, it's like living in a museum. The management has always resolved my concerns and issues with discretion and it's been 100% to my satisfaction. It IS a pet friendly community and you will always have some spoiled princess character thinking she doesn't have to clean up after her pet. If you can identify offenders, the office can take corrective action. I would work there, but I am sure they cannot afford me! :) It's a very diverse community and obviously you are going to have people in the community you don't mesh well with. Give it an honest look! These homes are breath-taking.

Rachel,
No matter how about this place, there is no denying that the never-ending trains roaring up and down the double tracks next to the building isn't annoying (to say the least). Also the poor internet connection with no High Definition TV is absolutely ridiculous!!!! Oh wait, can't forget the projects next door too.. OH wait, almost forgot the homeless shelters about 300 yards away!!
Man what was I thinking? Alexan Lofts is awesome!!!!! ppppshhhhhtttt. Get real.

The trains go by a lot. You can have my earplugs. But seriously, when you tour the place, you see the tracks there so it's not like management hides it. Of course I don't make things better when I stick my head out the window and give the conductor a one fingered salute. Sorry but sometimes they lay on the horn to be DB's. It doesn't make or break the place for me at all. The projects are better kept up next door now than they were two years ago. Ever lived in NYC or DC? The projects are snuggled right up against people's $750K condos. That's city life, which sometimes isn't glamorous. In NYC, the best apartments are over meat packing warehouses and that smell isn't great at all. Houston is a cake walk. The homeless panhandle less here than in the galleria area.. Don't watch a lot of TV and I have internet from my wireless carrier, so I have no idea the story on those. But I have 20' ceilings, an awesome view and a dog. That's why I love it there. I have had few issues here compared to other apartments so I am happy.

I love it too. And they never lied about the trains. And it's a gated community, for goodness sake. I don't see a lot of wanderers who don't live there. I've been there about a year, and other than the trains, it's very quiet!

I love alexan as well, and as far as the projects and homeless go all i can say is "It's downtown" If u want a cookie cutter home and cookie cutter neighbors then move to the suburbs. If u enjoy beautiful architecture and a unique and fun lifestyle then we welcome u !

They can't afford you? lol. By the looks of your furniture I would beg to disagree.
