I was very happy to move into this complex, the complex is very nice, new, nice amenities, etc.

Then I went in to close and I had to deal with some of their management staff, terrible, lack of absolute interest, very bad at answring questions, patronizing, no interest in you moving in, they don't work anything in your favor, they stipulated many items in the agreement that basically forces you to pay them for everything, penalties for everything. Overall, it is very sad that such a nice complex, and very nice sales staff have lost at least a tenant for their awful management.

Oh, I have been driving there for two weeks, and one of the entrances to the parking lot has been crashed into and i widely opened, and at least during the day, I saw all but one of those gates wide open for anyone to come in. It is not a nice area in Westheimer to live there like that, and much less with the accounts of armed robbery that appear in this website.

Perhaps the apartments at Old Farm (the preserve of something) are a much better option, either live close to the loops, or rent elsewhere, the Verandah at Meyerlandhas similar primces and much nicer amenities.

I agree the property is beautiful. my fiance and I loved the lush landscaping and wide open floor plans. however, when we took the tour, the sales rep was very patronizing and very quick to criticize other comparable properties in the area, she was very evasive when we asked her questions regarding crime, extra fees etc. I also agree there are way too many extra fees pretty much every apartment was considered some special spot and required extra fees (ie. there is a bunch of junky brush out back where there is a lot of construction and when we viewed out back there were actually workers burning tires!!! Believe it or not, alexan charges $35 for the "forest view") what a joke!, what floor, what type of flooring, and the usual deposit non refundable etc. the apartment we saw came out to be $115 more per month than quoted on the listing. I agree this is a beautiful property, but we didnt buy because the salesperson acted like she could have cared less wheter we lived there or not. I came from park @ Voss. not as snazzy or new, but the staff there is always welcoming and never would act pretentious or condescending.

I am the property manager at Alexan Piney Creek and hate to hear that you had a bad move in experience. We are always excited to have new residents move into our property but sometimes get overwhelmed with the number of people coming into our office each day and might not be as energetic some days. I wish that you would have brought your concerns to the office to allow us to rectify things with you. In regards to stipulating items in the lease, we use a standard TAA lease agreement.....it is used in a majority of the apartment communities in the city. It is terrible that you felt patronized and I hope that we will be meeting in person regarding this complaint. I should tell you that the management team at Piney Creek likes our residents and want our residents to like us back. It is no fun having to enforce rules that we didn't make. I would also like to touch base on your comments regarding criminal activity. Unfortunately, crime doesn't discriminate. No area of the city is untouched by criminals, including close to the areas you mentioned in your review. In response to beanbag 25's comments, I am sorry to hear that the leasing specialist was critical of other properties. I would like to speak with you personally to determine who this person was. I can only rectify this problem if I know who exactly to work with. I will definitely work with my team on understanding how to answer questions you may have so that you don't feel they are being evasive in their answers. The fees that we charge are administrative and application fees. We do have premium charges for particular apartment locations, as do all comparable apartments in Houston. I agree that the wooded view, which we charge $30 for, is not a view and we have not been charging any additional rent for a wooded view apartment for several months until this area is cleaned up. I am apalled to think that anyone was behind my property burning tires, and have to say that I don't see any place where the ground is burned to know where exactly this happened. Fortunately, work crews are here, as we speak, cleaning out the area around the creek behind our property so that the wooded view will be less of a joke and more of a bonus. The only way that I can think that your apartment turned out to be $115 more is because it was a first floor, which has wood flooring throughout(minus bedrooms) facing the pool. We would love to have you as a resident and I would love to visit with you in person, about any questions that you may have. I also intend to retrain the leasing associates, based on your comments, because our goal is to make all visitors welcome.
